90's Child Style

Yes, I loved everything about growing up in he 90's from the choker necklaces to the jelly sandals.  Needless to say, I am super excited about 90's style making a comeback.   Gavin photo-bombed my style shoot collected sticks so I had to share his cute little face as well. :)
I found this fun 90's look on sale and figured it would be a super comfy dress with sneakers. I am loving some of these more daring, colorful slip dresses with tees underneath in this Cosmo style article as well.
What is your favorite 90's style?

NYE with a Sparkle

Whether you are staying in or have a big night planned out, there's no doubt that you probably want to add at least a little sparkle to your outfit.  It's important to have a few staple over-the-top glitter-covered outfits for some occasions and O.K. to opt for that comfy sweater with a little sequined and instead take your eye-makeup to a whole new glitter level.  Either way, have a safe night and Happy New Year!
I got lucky because apparently no one really buys sequined-covered items after the holidays so I scored both skirts (above) on clearance for literally under $10 (for BOTH!) at Kohl's.  I think sequins is acceptable all-year long so it was like hitting the jackpot for me! :)

If you are hosting and like me, are overstuffed on sweats and junk food, I love this recipe because it's delicious and healthy.  With apples, pumpkin and cinnamon all being naturally low-sugar, you can indulge on NYE while still maintaining your healthy lifestyle.  You can find the recipe here.

*LuLaRoe Holiday Giveaway*

Lularoe outfit contest
LuLaroe prints

I heard friends buzzing about LuLaRoe from a few friends and thought the prints were so adorable and different.  What I didn't know but I soon learned after trying on a few outfits from Melissa's Lularoe shop  was exactly how comfortable it really is.  They are the softest leggings and tops I have ever worn, EVER!
My Mommy friends raved about the items and how comfortable they were and now I can totally stand by that.  I was pleased that I could wear something so comfy to work, yet still look professional, and be able to play with Gavin in the same clothes since they were so comfortable!

Now is your chance to win with a holiday contest!  Enter to win on Instagram and Facebook for a $25 gift card for your very own LuLaRoe purchase.. just in time for Christmas!

To enter simply follow @JamieEverAfter and lularoemelissamonholland on Instagram!
For an additional entry, check out Melissa's VIP facebook group where she showcases all of her inventory as she gets it.  Winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 20th.  Good luck!

Mommy + Me Style

The snow is melting and spring is right around the corner.  I cannot to do many "firsts" with Gavin this spring as the weather gets warmer such as push him in a swing, take him to the park, and have a messy, baby-food filled picnic!  Gavin was born late May so it's no surprise that he loves being outside in the fresh air.  His absolutely favorite thing is watching animals.  He loves to watch our cat, Jingles and our dog, Zoey, and outside he is mesmerized by the neighborhood cats and dogs (and occasional squirrel or bird).
Also, whoever said dressing a boy is no fun was completely wrong.  Move over glitter and bows, we've got bow ties + hipster outfits that will put your tutus to shame (haha!).  Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!

My Sweetheart

I've never been a huge fan of Valentine's Day.  I always felt like if I was not dating anybody, I was left out and if I was, it felt kind of forced or cheesy.  I'd rather get a gift or bouquet of flowers on a random Tuesday than on Valentine's Day.  I did like the day after Valentine's Day though- when chocolate is 50% off. :)
This year, however, my little Valentine is Gavin and I took advantage of the cheesiness and made sure to have fun with it.  My little Bachelor had a ball and loves the camera!

Gavin's first OOTD, he is wearing an adorable outfit from Old Navy which is on sale and Revlon's Colorstay lipstick on his cheeks in Cherries in the Snow.

Hope everyone has a  Happy Valentine's Day!

#OOTD Roundup

I don't have the best photos this week because Gavin + I have been fighting a cold.  I never got a chance to share some new outfit featuring a lot of the items I got for Christmas!  I am in love with this sparkly skirt I wore on NYE and although the far right photo is blurry, I had to share a photo of my new boots from my mom.  They are soo comfy and cute.  Of course, I get lazy sometimes and throw on a flannel with Uggs :)

What are you loving in your closet right now?  Are you on Instagram?  If so, follow me for snapshots of my daily outfits here!

Outfit Outtakes: Last Week's Lineup

Last week was again, one of those weeks in New England where you want to have both your t-shirts and scarves on hand.  Booties are always my best friend this time of year since they can pair with a casual pair of skinny jeans but also with a dress for work as well. Wednesday's sweater I have definitely over-worn this season but it is so cozy that I cannot help myself. The ivory dress I wore on Friday came from Dresslink, just in time for date night! I definitely got a lot of holiday shopping and gift wrapping done last week... how is your holiday shopping going?

Monday: Striped dress: Forever 21 | Booties: Trask | Faux leather jacket: Express
Tuesday: Merlot skinny pants: AEO | Booties: Charming Charlie | Chambray shirt: Kohl's
Wednesday: Skinny jeans: Forever 21 | Fur Booties: Guess | Bethany Mota sweater: Aeropostale (last season)
Thursday: Maroon vest: T.J. Maxx | Jeans: Old Navy | Booties: Trask
Friday: Geometric dress c/o Dresslink | Over-the-knee boots: Boohoo | Jingles successfully photo-bombed this pic!

Snapshots #OOTD

Last week was all about layers and these boots which go with everyyything. Layers were essential because some days reaches high 60s and then the evening would drop 20 or so degrees.  My favorite look was Monday's corduroy mustard skirt and cardigan and most comfy was the plaid & AEO baggy pants, which were as comfy as sweatpants!  I did not get Wednesday's look but did snap a shot of Tuesday's layered--really shoes how a cardigan can change up an entire outfit.
What was your favorite look this week?

Monday - Cropped cardigan Urban Outfitters (on sale!): Corduroy skirt: Urban Outfitters | Booties c/o Trask
Tuesday -  Lace dress: Urban outfitters | Booties c/o Trask | Cardigan: Pac Sun
Thursday - Black Forest dress in Sapphire (also available in cream): Free People
Friday:  Flannel shirt jacket: AEO | Tencel Jogger: AEO | Booties c/o Trask

Three Shades of Gray

Tomorrow is the first day of spring and here in New England, there are no signs of tulips.. unless they are under the snow. Normally, by now I have packed away my winter boots and heavier sweaters but have had the need to hang on to them for a few more weeks.
Layering is my favorite for unpredictable months like March because it can be 30 degrees in the morning and then 63 in the afternoon. I am loving this look from Serene Sky Boutique that kept me cozy and warm yet had enough versatility with layers to transform into a lighter outfit.

Black + Tan

Sometimes, nothing beats a chic all black look. Although a classic look, adding a fun fabric or color can bring an otherwise classic outfit to feel a little more trendy. This adorable leather fringe bag that I found on clearance at Marshall’s did just that, added a little flare to bring this look to life.  The slimming of darker colors also helps my quickly rounding shape :)
Stay tuned for more looks from this photo-shoot for the Serene Sky Lookbook, coming soon!
