Gavin turns ONE.

Tomorrow my little baby is going to be ONE!!  When parents said the cliche, "it goes by so fast," I kind of chuckled and rolled my eyes because when I was pregnant it felt like 5 years.  Now I really know that having a child somehow speeds up time into fast forward and everything just flashes right before you.
It feels like just yesterday that I met Gavin for the first time (read his birth story here), yet it feels like a lifetime ago that he was not part of my life.. does that even make sense?  Somehow this little munchkin has changed me very purpose of existence in the most positive way ever.  His belly laugh lights up my world, his cries break my heart, and his happiness and well-being is the most important thing to me in the world.
Happy birthday little guy!  We love you so much.

Stay tuned next week for a reveal of Gavin's under-the-sea party this weekend.

Blueberry-Rosé Lemonade Pops

If you don't have plans this weekend, make brunch plans and make these incredible booze-infused popsicles.  They are the perfect kick-off to summer as a refreshing treat and perfect party staple.
I am a fruit lover so I made sure to load up with berries to add some flavor and sweetness.

What You'll Need:
  • 2 cups rosé wine
  • 1 1/3 cup frozen mixed berrys
  • 1/2 cup lemonade
Directions:
  1. Combine the rose, lemonade, and 1 cup of mixed berries.  Blend in blender until smooth.
  2. Add the remaining whole blueberries to popsicle molds, dividing evenly. Pour the blended mixture into the molds. Insert ice-pop sticks and freeze until firm, at least 8 hours or overnight.

All About that Lace

I do not wear flats often, but when I do, they have to be incredibly chic and comfortable.  I found these flats at Forever 21 and although this trend has been worn and seen by every fashion blogger around town, there's a reason they became so popular.  These flats were the perfect accessory paired with a basic black jumpsuit for a business/blogger lunch with my favorite foodie-meets-fashion blogger, Kat from Champs et Frites

My picks for the best in this trend: All About that Lace

1. J.Crew lace-up ballet flats
2. Lace-up leather sandals: Zara
3. Sueded Lace-up espadrilles: Old Navy
4. Michael Kor's snakeskin lace-up flats: goop
5. Espadrille flatforms: Forever 21
6. Kendall + Kyle blush lace-up ankle flats: Shopbob

Festival-inspired

I am a huge fan of boho style and find myself drawn to anything music-festival inspired.  Fringe, braids, knitted tops; I have always loved these laid back trends that convey relaxation, peacefulness, and confidence.
Today I am sharing my absolute favorite pieces of my festival inspired treasures.

1. This perfect fringe bag adds some flare to any outfit.  I found it on clearance last season at Nordstrom; it was a steal!  Similar here.

2.  This dress is so feminine yet comfortable.  It's the perfect day-trip dress that expresses a laid-back style matched with you inner girly-girl.   I got last year at Nasty Girl, similar here.

3.  These Polette Coachella sunglasses are simple yet unique from the everyday aviators or wayfarers.

Motivational Monday: Mother's Day

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.  It was my first celebration as a Mom and I felt overwhelmingly mushy about being a Mom, appreciating my own  mother not only as my Mom but as Gavin's grandmother (Babci).  I realized that no matter how old you are and how many kids you have of your own, you will always need your mama!

I am so thankful to have such a supportive and amazing mother as well as have the most adorable, silly, and fun-loving son to call me Mom!

Happy Mother's Day!

Denim + Diapers

I have two diaper bags because one is more functional but let's be honest- most of those "functional" diaper bags are so boring.  I got neural gray one in the beginning because I wanted Daddy to be able to carry around the diaper bag without feeling like he's carrying a handbag.  But, I also wanted a cute one for myself on days that Gavin and I go out in style.  I was so happy with my recent diaper bag purchase, this Hip Cub one, which adorable and holds a lot of necessary baby items. I didn't want to spend a ton, honestly, because between bottles and puffs, everything of Gavin's someone manages to get wet, dirty, or stained. What's your favorite purchase this month?

Denim dress: similar here | Black strappy sandals: Old Navy (on sale for $15!) | Striped diaper tote: Hip Cub | Sunglasses: Burberry
